lls - The Company

Smart sachet, LLS have launched a revolutionary technology that will replace the SO2 pad & Ethylene scrubber. Smart sachet is an organic solution which fully compliments smartbag technology

Produce at supermarkets must have the best quality externally and organoleptically for commercial sale and shelf life duration. SMART granule technology, in conjunction with SMARTBAG technology, allows supermarkets to increase produce sale, increase shelf life (freshness), reduce losses due to rot and improves the supermarkets quality image.

The main advantage of the SMART granule sachets is that they offer continuous protection, from packing line to the retail shelves, by removing ethylene gas all along the distribution chain.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Hygiene: maintains the atmosphere free from the undesirable micro-organisms, thus decreasing waste caused by rotting, and avoids mixing of odours.
  • Firmness, acidity and sugar content of the fruit are maintained.
  • Maintains original colour of fruit and vegetables, reduces the loss of chlorophyll.
  • Decreases the respiration rate of fruit and vegetables, thereby reducing weight loss and shriveling of the skin.
  • A drastic reduction in air contamination thus the development of fungi and bacteria: Botrytis, Penicillium, Monilia, etc.
  • The SMART granules are transformed naturally into organic fertilizer (manganese dioxide), they are environmentally friendly.
  • It is compatible with ORGANIC PRODUCE; it does not leave any chemical residues on food (non-additive). Organic certified by Soil Association (UK), Ecocert (France), and Argencent (Argentina)

Both packaging (Tyvek produced by Dupont) material and inks are produced according to standard numbers 80,30-3 EC, EN 1186, and ENV 13130 for materials in contact with food stuffs, as well as FDA approves.

Ethylene is lighter than air; thus it accumulates on the top of the boxes, that is exactly where the sachet should be placed.
